As all of you know, Laura and I can sometimes be indecisive. This happened yesterday. When we went to Jewel Cave we discovered that they were booked until 4pm. We decided to stick around even though we still had a 6 hour drive to Cody.
We both agreed, "When will we be here again? Let's take it all in now."
Well, 5 hours later as the sun was setting in the Wyoming mountains, we realize our decision to stay was not the best choice. In the darkness of night, Laura, a brave driver, was introduced to many of the woodland creatures in Wyoming. We almost were run over by two of the largest four-legged deer (or elk, caraboo, moose) we had ever seen. This was followed by big horn elk, deer, mice, owls, and bunnies. We finally coasted into Cody at 12:15am, lucky to be at our destination. The Cody Cowboy Village even left the light on for us.
It is now 10:55 and we are heading into Yellowstone. We will talk to you all from Salt Lake City.

Wow, crazy horse hasn't really changed that much. That's crazy! Laura you might want to rethink the wardrobe or camera angles. You look naked in some of those pictures...let's keep it G-rated.
How amazing is this trip?!? I am completely jealous of you guys, but I love being able to check everything out through your pics! Enjoy yourselves and stay safe!
I am so jealous of your blog. The dedication to writing everyday is great! I wouldn't have had time to keep up every night! Thanks so much for being so dedicated to it. I like the fact that Dan describes the driving incident much more G-rated then Laura did (I talked with her on the phone last night)!Laura said that the deer, elk, caribou were in the road and she had to swerve to not hit them...I couldn't sleep thinking about it THANKS!!! Wow! You guys really are on an adventure! I have loved reading all of your blogs and it sounds like you are having a blast. The pictures are fabulous and it will be great for you to look back on this for years to come :) Enjoy camping! I can't wait to see what will happen next.
